We had our BIG birthday celebration yesterday and it was a lot of fun! All of our friends came to play, eat and jump in the bounce house! We have a lot of pictures so we'll just go with picture overload now!

THE CUPCAKES:
We had lots of food for people to eat. Kevin grilled hamburgers, turkey burgers and hotdogs! We had potato salad, baked beans, chips and of course - CUPCAKES! I had planned on making 3 different flavors for the guests, but ended up with just two due to running out of time. So we had strawberry pureed ones with strawberry buttercream icing and vanilla bean ones with chocolate icing (I planned on making vanilla meringue, but ran out of time!) The kids each had personalized pirate cakes. It was my first time working with fondant....and it was a lot of fun!

We are thankful for all of our presents also! We'll put up pictures of us playing with all of our new cool stuff later. For now, we are all exhausted and off to NAP!
