Welcome To Our Crazy Life

We are the Colls and this is about our life with our triplets. My name is Sandi and my husband's name is Kevin. We got married on Feb. 7, 2004 and instantly started trying to have a baby. 5 years, many tears and loads of help later we found out we were having not one, not two, but three babies!

Braedan, Teagan and Sean bounced into our lives on Nov. 12, 2008 and everything has been turned upside down, flipped sideways and scattered about since then. I’m not going to sugar coat it....it wasn’t easy in the beginning. The NICU, late nights, screaming babies, being thousands of miles from our families because we were stationed in Hawaii, exhaustion and then Kevin deploying to Afghanistan for 6 months the day the kids turned 6 months old......not fun.

But now they are getting older and Kevin has been medically separated from the Marine Corps and we've moved to NY to be closer to family. It's great to finally have family around...... especially now that we've hit the TERRIBLE TWOS triple time!

Even though we are close to family now, we are still learning to survive life with triplets.

Let's roll with this.

I realize that I said I would be back last night to write more and put up pics, but that didn't happen. I was exhausted. This was a wild week. Between Kevin's Dr being deployed and not knowing what's going on with his med. sep to Sean starting to walk and Teagan's temper tantrums - I need a nap!

Teagan has started throwing terrible tantrums. Kevin says she's bipolar, I think she's just a girl. She's happy one minute and then freaks out the next. Not just a mild tantrum, we are talking spinning in circles, foaming at the mouth, can't breathe, unconsolable, awful! Once we calm her down though, she's back to dancing and laughing. After doing some research, I think this is an attention thing and we are hoping she outgrows it soon.

Like I said earlier, Sean is walking now. He's so funny when he does it cause he waves his hands all around and laughs. He's such a silly kid. He's also decided that he's Captain Caveman. He's always pulling his left arm out of his shirts through the neck hole. I guess he just likes it that way. It doesn't bother him, so for now when I find him that way I put his arm back in and try to suggest not pulling it out.

Braedan is loving eating off of his new toddler plate. He's stopped throwing food across the room (thank God!) and hasn't even tossed his plate off of the highchair yet. He loves playing basketball and recently found a new favorite toy - a baby doll. Not Kevin's first choice of toy, but he's dealing with it! Haha.

We tried potty training for a while. Teagan actually used the potty a few times before they all got sick 2 weeks ago. Maybe we'll revisit it again in a few weeks.  We'll just have to get the boys a potty as well since all three were fighting over the 1 we had.

Oh! And the gang got haircuts! Sean had gotten his first one to cut off his mullet a few months back, but this was Teagan's first cut (we just got her bangs cut) and Braedan's first haircut as well. Kevin and I took them to Pigtails and Crewcuts over in Pearl Harbor. It's a cute kid salon where they have the kids sit in these neat chairs that are either an airplane, taxi, firetruck or police car. Sean loved it when I took him there a few months back and he seemed to like it this time as well. Teagan just wanted to drive her car, she didn't even notice the lady cutting her hair! B was good until they shaved his neck hair - he wasn't a fan of that at all!
