Welcome To Our Crazy Life

We are the Colls and this is about our life with our triplets. My name is Sandi and my husband's name is Kevin. We got married on Feb. 7, 2004 and instantly started trying to have a baby. 5 years, many tears and loads of help later we found out we were having not one, not two, but three babies!

Braedan, Teagan and Sean bounced into our lives on Nov. 12, 2008 and everything has been turned upside down, flipped sideways and scattered about since then. I’m not going to sugar coat it....it wasn’t easy in the beginning. The NICU, late nights, screaming babies, being thousands of miles from our families because we were stationed in Hawaii, exhaustion and then Kevin deploying to Afghanistan for 6 months the day the kids turned 6 months old......not fun.

But now they are getting older and Kevin has been medically separated from the Marine Corps and we've moved to NY to be closer to family. It's great to finally have family around...... especially now that we've hit the TERRIBLE TWOS triple time!

Even though we are close to family now, we are still learning to survive life with triplets.

The Dream Baby Hauler

In the triplet community there are always the "must haves" that us mom's talk about. The biggest one is the cherished Step 2 Choo Choo Wagon. This is the mother of all baby haulers. It's not a wagon, it's a supreme machine. They stopped making the Choo Choo a few years back so that they could remodel it. Since it went off of the market, people have been able to jack the price up when they sell them on Craigslist/Ebay yard sales. It was selling in the stores for around $150, but now you can find them for no less than $300! INSANE! And although the price markup is crazy, I have often thought about buying one (nobody sells them here in Hawaii though.)

But now, now Step 2 is re-releasing the new, improved Choo Choo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lemme tell you, this girl is EXCTED! Wait, there is one problem....when this dream baby hauler goes on sale in September, THEY AREN'T GOING TO SELL IT IN STORES IN HAWAII AND THE COMPANY IS NOT GOING TO SHIP TO HAWAII EITHER!?! Can you believe that? Why wouldn't they ship or sell them here? The answer they give: It would cost the company too much money. WHAT? I can name mom's of triplets that live on this island that would give an arm/leg and possibly a baby for a Choo Choo (and not just me! haha)

So we arrive back to the point. This is a MUST HAVE! The midgets are starting to get too big to fit all 3 in their wagon (I guess they get their heights from their GIANT grandpa's!)

Now comes the warning: when this thing is released in September (NEXT MONTH!!!!) expect a frantic mom (ME) to call and beg a family member to let me buy it, have it shipped to you and then have you haul it to UPS to ship to me! NO JOKE! We need this! We use our wagon daily and it's running out of room - we take it to the park, the beach, the Dr's office, the grocery store, EVERYWHERE. This thing is cool! Each baby has their own seat (with seatbelt!!!!) a spot for their juice and a spot for their snack. How convenient! Ahhhhh....the mother of all triplet must haves!

Ok, I'm done with my rant...until next month.
