We decided since Halloween is just around the corner that we needed to start decorating! We've been known to go all out for Halloween. We've even won some decorating contests in base housing for 2 bases! Now that we have the kids though, we've cut back a bit. Gone are the giant moving mummies and goblins, but we've kept a lot of the goodies! The kids LOVE LOVE LOVE all of the decorations. They run around with rubber bats, giant spiders and hug and kiss the skulls! Here are some pictures of us out decorating. I rolled out some paper on the sidewalk for them to color on as Kevin hung things up, but they preferred to play with all the "spooky" things!
the best super hero shirts ever! Kevin got them at Target! |
getting in trouble for coloring on the skulls |
and then in trouble for coloring on her brothers LOL |
they hug and kiss each skull every day when we go outside |
no happy that she isn't allowed to color the boys |
This week was also Kevin's birthday. He hit the big 3-0 and isn't happy about it at all. So to help ease the pain I got us a babysitter and took him out to the Polynesian Cultural Center. We had dinner, got to watch their new Luau Show Ha' The Breath Of Life and then rode on the canoes for the Haunted Lagoon Halloween ride! It was a great night! We had so much fun!
Since it's fall I went ahead and tried to make a seasonal cupcake. I decided on a pumpkin spice with a cinnamon cream cheese icing. They were GREAT! I made 2 batches since people were "taste testing" them like crazy!
This week we also had three little ones who decided they were big enough to use juice boxes, change their own clothes and walk across the street holding hands. They are growing up way too fast! Teagan even said her first full sentence (a question) "Where daddy go?" with her hands up walking around the house looking for Kevin! The little angels have also learned to talk back (not fun!)
We are still getting everything together to get out of the military. This coming week they will be mailing out his separation package and in 12-14 weeks we will be civilians living in NY! Ahhh, cold weather!
